Kickboxing is well known as a competitive full contact sport. However, most people are not interested in the actual sparring because this often leads to injury. So Fitness Kickboxing is simply the practice of kickboxing techniques without any actual sparring or combat. At CSL Fitness Kickboxing, we combine elements of aerobic and anaerobic training to achieve an awesome workout while learning the basic skills of punching and kicking. We use a variety of impact equipment to deliver very powerful kicks and punches. Although most of the class is spent on impact training, called “padwork," you can also expect to do a lot of push-ups, crunches, squats, and a variety of other exercises.  If you want to learn how to defend yourself without the fear of getting hurt, and get a great workout at the same time, then look no further. Come and try a fee class!

Warning: We definitely work on cardio,  but CSL Fitness Kickboxing is not an aerobics class. Punches and kicks are delivered at full speed, fast and furiously. This is a high impact activity with no dance or dance-like moves, and NO MUSIC.

WOMEN FIGHTING BACK
As part of our Fitness Kickboxing program, we are now offering 2 new classes during the week:

Tuesdays & Thursdays - 8:30 pm

These classes are for women only and will focus on the techniques of kickboxing and self-defense. This program, Women Fighting Back, is designed to teach women the skills to defend themselves while keeping both physically and mentally fit.

Women Fighting Back is taught by David Mondezie, a highly skilled martial arts instructor who has been studying martial arts since 1976. David has a background in arts such as Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Kajukenbo, Judo, and Muay Thai. He has been a member of The Canadian Association of Muay Thai Boxing since 1985. He is also a certified First Aid Responder as well as a certified personal trainer and sports nutritionist.

David is a firm believer in fitness in both body and mind, and he still pursues the martial arts with the same passion as in his youth. As a highly experienced instructor, he clearly explains each of his ideas and techniques, sharing all of his expertise with his students. Whether your goal is fitness or self-defense, you will receive the proper instruction allowing you to achieve your individual goals.
